About the discovery of the remains of the "ACIER UNIVERSEL" brand weapon, manufactured in Belgium in 1894, used by the participants of the national liberation movement in our country.
Our nation did not suffer any hardships during the reign of Mustabid. Since the time of the Russian Tsar Peter I, there have been great views of our heavenly country. Over the years, espionage was carried out under the pretext of tourist and archaeological expeditions, trade relations. In 1894, two-caliber rifles produced in Belgium were used to supply groups of fighters from France and England through the territory of Afghanistan. On the other hand, the Russian state started to sell the weapons it bought from Belgium for 100 rubles.
The Russian invaders may have also received firearms as a result of the actions against the Soviet regime. In 2020, Oroqboev Jahangir, a student of the 59th school, who lives in the village of Berdimurod of the neighboring Fitrat MFY, caught sight of a piece of iron from the ditch belonging to a farmer around the "Sahib ota" cemetery in the area of Katta Saidov MFY, Payariq District, Samarkand Region. he brought and showed me the found material. In February 2022, the two of us brought it to the Museum of the Memory of the Victims of Qatoghan in the structure of SamDU. In order to clarify, it was listed by the head of the museum Muqimov Muzaffar, the keeper of the archive fund Khodjaeva Dilfuza, and the guide Masharipov Shavkat. The museum staff handed over the find to experts to clean it of rust and humus. It was determined that it is a remnant of the "ACIER UNIVERSEL" brand weapon manufactured in Belgium in 1894. The firearm was manufactured at the "Cokerilya" factory in Seran, Belgium.
According to the Internet, at the end of the 19th century, 10,000 hunting weapons were made here. In 1900, he was awarded a gold medal at the World Exhibition held in Paris. The age of this weapon has been proven to be 128 years. Since the butt of the hunting weapon was made of wood material, it rotted underground. Due to the fact that its barrel was made of thin metal, it has not reached us, only the mechanism made of thick steel has survived. We don't know how the weapon got to the "Sahib Ota" cemetery. In my opinion, the burial place belongs to antiquity. It is proved that this place was a city. The remains of ceramics, a metal arrow-bow tip belonging to the Sak tribes, and a piece of a fire-baked slipper made of clay from the Middle Ages were found here. Remains of baked bricks measuring 40x40 cm and 3 cm thick, which replaced residential buildings restored in the 19th century, were also found as a result of excavations. It is clear that during the time of the former union, they moved people from this place, took away the land from the peasants and turned it into cotton fields. In the picture, the part of the weapon that has reached us and the actual view taken from the Internet.
