• I started mixing Russian dubs of foreign films in 2004 and since then mixed well over a hundred
of them. I work with Mosfilm-Master company which has long-term relationship with Warner
Brothers and many Russian film distributors. My recent dubs include “The Lego Movie” (Russian
dialogs recording and mixing), “300: Rise of an Empire” (mix only), “The Hobbit: The Desolation
of Smaug” (Russian dialogs recording and mix supervision at Deluxe Synxspeed), “Gravity” (mix
only), “Pacific Rim” (mix only), “Man of Steel” (Russian dialogs recording and mix supervision at
De Lane Lea), “Moonrise Kingdom” (Russian dialogs recording and mixing) and many others.
• I worked as a supervising sound editor on two major Russian feature films. It was teamwork with
several sound editors and assistants under my supervision (and of course under tight schedule).
One of the films, “Target”, premiered at Berlin International Film Festival (Panorama section) in
2011.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
• Experience of mixing on variety of film consoles - started on SSL 5000, then SSL Avant,
Harrisons, Studer, plus various Pro Tools controllers (all of them, Pro Controls to Icons). I feel
confident that learning another console won’t be a problem and won’t take much time (had an
experience of taking over a mix in unfamiliar studio on an unfamiliar console).
• Extensive Pro Tools knowledge (mixing, editing, installation and maintenance, starting from
1999), I have my own portable PT rig with lots of plug-ins and Artist control surface.
• Deep knowledge of major outboard effects units (Lexicon, TC Electronic, Eventide, including
automation over MIDI and timecode), and plug-ins (Altiverb, Lexicon, Revibe etc).
PERSONAL QUALITIES
Ability to work fast without compromising quality. Commitment to the job and attention to detail.
Flexibility. I enjoy learning new techniques and equipment in my profession. Willing to travel and work
in any conditions. Ability to work long hours for extended periods of time.
EDUCATION
• 2005 - 2007, Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Directors, Director for film and TV.
• 1993 - 1998, Moscow State University, Biology department, Bachelor of sciences.
LANGUAGES
Russian (Native), English (Fluent), German (Basic), Spanish (Very Basic). I also understand a lot
of other Slavic languages (Polish, Czech, Croatian, Serbian). Ukrainian is very close to Russian, I
understand about 80-90%.
INTERESTS
Travel and ambience/SFX sound recordings. I am putting sound recordings under “hobby”
because I was never specifically hired as a recordist. I have a decent recording kit and several
different microphones, collected a sizeable sound library by now and use my own recordings
whenever I do ambiences/SFX for a film. I take sound recorder with me whenever I travel, which I
also like very much.
Another passion is Berlinale. First got there in 2011 with a film where I was a supervising sound
editor. Fell in love with the festival and attend it every year since then.
