Drop Off and Pick –Up Information

In order to make arrival and dismissal time goes smoothly, please remember the following:

  • School begins at 8:00 a.m. and dismisses at 3:10 p.m.

  • In order to avoid the congestion in the Avery parking lot, students can begin being dropped off at 7:45 a.m. Smith Road is another option to drop off students.

  • The speed limit on Avery Road is 25 mph. Please be aware of students crossing the street.

  • Pull ahead as far as you can before letting your child out of the car. Stopping directly in front of the door stops traffic flow.

  • For the safety of our students, please have students exit and enter cars on the passenger’s side.

  • Set an example, use crosswalks at all times. (Crossing the lot between cars is dangerous and we do not want students to establish bad habits.)

  • If you need to get out of your car or need to walk your child in, you must park in a parking space.

  • Please do not wave your child across the traffic.

  • Do not park along the retaining wall on the lower level. The only place to park are lined parking stalls.

  • Watch for and be alert to where Safety Patrol members are standing.

  • Creating your own parking place is dangerous for students and risks damage to your vehicle.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Information Pertaining To Breakfast / Lunch Accounts

A few things you should know:

  1. Accounts are on a pre-pay basis. This means you deposit money into your student’s account before he/she eats. Breakfast is $1.60 and lunch is $2.25. Here is the cost of breakfast and lunch, per week, if you are full pay or reduced.

Full Pay

Breakfast x 1 Week = $8.00

Lunch x 1 week =$11.25

Reduced

Breakfast x 1 week = $1.50

Lunch x 1 week = $2.00

  1. Bellevue Public School policy is that a meal account cannot go over a negative balance of $20.00. If your child’s balance becomes greater than $20.00 negative, you will need to provide a packed lunch for your child, or he/she will be offered the alternate meal. Payments can be taken on accounts if that makes things easier. Any attempt to lower the balance is appreciated. If you would like an application for Free / Reduced meals, please call and I will get one to you immediately.

  1. If your child receives free meals, milk cannot be taken out of an account with a home packed lunch. Milk is .50 and will need to be paid for with cash.

  1. You are welcome to come and eat lunch with your student. If you plan on doing so, please call the school in the morning and let them know so that the kitchen prepares enough food. The cost for an adult lunch is $3.10. Please bring exact change as the cashier does not have change.

  1. When sending in a prepayment for your child’s account, please make sure to denote your child’s name on the check, or if cash, in an envelope with your child’s name on it. Prepayments, in check form, can be used for multiple accounts. If you would like a check split between accounts, please note on the memo section of the check how much you would like on each account.

  1. Also, please remember that you can pay your meal account on line. Please let me know if you would like the information on this. It can be set up as an automatic payment to help you stay on top of the account.

  1. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me anytime. 402-293-4464.

Thank you, Shelly Lowis
