Prof. Masahiro Tatsumisago
Masahiro Tatsumisago was born in 1955 in Osaka, Japan. He received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Applied
Chemistry from Osaka University in 1978, 1980, and 1984, respectively. He started
to work as a Research
Associate in the Department of Applied Chemistry of Osaka Prefecture University in 1980. He joined the
Chemistry Department of Puedue University and that of Arizona State University as a Post-Doctoral Fellow
from 1988 to 1989. He was promoted to Assistant Professor in 1991 and to Associate professor in 1993.
He won the ICG Prize in Memory of Prof. V. Gottardi from the International Commission on Glass in 1995.
Since 1996 he has been a Full Professor of the Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka Prefecture University.
He is now the Dean of the Graduate School of Engineering. His research field is glass science, solid state
ionics and all-solid-state energy devices. His current research interests focus on preparation and
characterization of superionic amorphous materials and their application to all-solid-state batteries.
