COSTUMES FOR ROBIN HOOD AND THE SHERWOOD HOODIES.

Your child’s character is ……………………………………… in the play. They will need to be dressed in the following clothes:

Please can these come in to school in a named carrier bag as soon as possible.

COSTUMES FOR ROBIN HOOD AND THE SHERWOOD HOODIES

Your child’s character is Robin Hood or one of his Merry Men in the play. They will need to be dressed in the following clothes:

-White long-sleeved shirts under a natural coloured tunic with a belt. (Green tunic for Robin Hood, Red tunic for Will Scarlett)

-Green tights.

-Feathered hat.

-In addition there could be some slight variations to suit the character eg Alan could have musical notes to decorate his tunic, Dave could have a headband/legwarmers (1970s disco dancer!). Will Scarlett will need red tights and glasses.

Please can these come in to school in a named carrier bag as soon as possible so we can start to practise “in character”. If you have any problems finding these items, please let us know by Monday 6th July and we will try to help.

Your child’s character is Friar Tuck in the play. They will need to be dressed in the following clothes:

-Long Brown Tunic

-Fat tummy (cushion?)

-Monk-style Wig

COSTUMES FOR ROBIN HOOD AND THE SHERWOOD HOODIES

Your child’s character is a Sheriff, Guard or King in the play. They will need to be dressed in the following clothes:

- Black (or very dark) clothes to indicate sinister characters.

- Fake chain mail welcome if anyone has any(?!).

-Guards: striped socks for comic effect.

-In addition Grabbit and Bolt could wear matching bright stripy tights and tunics with a large G or B on the front.

Your child’s character is a Skunk Scout in the play. They will need to be dressed in the following clothes:

- Khaki clothes eg knee-length shorts

-Red and white spotted neckerchiefs

-brown caps

COSTUMES FOR ROBIN HOOD AND THE SHERWOOD HOODIES

Your child’s character is a Villager in the play. They will need to be dressed in the following clothes (think peasant-style, but brightly coloured!)

- Girls: brightly-coloured stripy or spotty skirts topped with a blouse and cap.

-Boys: knee-length trousers, shirts and waistcoats, cap, neckerchiefs.

Please can these come in to school in a named carrier bag as soon as possible so we can start to practise “in character”. If you have any problems finding these items, please let us know by Monday 6th July and we will try to help.

-Brightly-coloured long dress. Flower garland in her hair.

Your child’s character is Nursie in the play. She is a slightly eccentric “dame” style character. She will need to be dressed in the following clothes:

-Slightly outlandish dress, apron, comic wig, glasses.

COSTUMES FOR ROBIN HOOD AND THE SHERWOOD HOODIES

Your child’s character is Gladys of Gisbourne/Guy of Gisbourne in the play.

These are two wealthy travellers in the play so they will need clothes which show they are rich! Here are some suggestions for the type of costume/ effect that might be suitable:

Guy – breeches, riding-style boots and a long hooded cloak – (velvet?), chunky jewellery (or anything else which indicates he is a very rich man!)

Gladys – a long dress, a hooded cloak (velvet?) lots of costume jewellery!
