Greetings Catholic Daughters,

At our October meeting, members voted on the following charities to be the recipients of our fundraising profits this year. Sr. Anne’s RCIA program. Marcia’s CCD program, St Vincent de Paul at Christ the King,St. Vincent de Paul at St Edith Stein, Penelope’s Place and Sr. Ann’s special fund . Jackie spoke about her trip to the Holy Land and showed over a hundred pictures.


Catholic Daughters Teamwork Workshop at Holy Cross Family Ministries:

On Saturday, October 21^st, thirty-five Catholic Daughters attended the event. This fun day was focused on teamwork. There was a mass, 3 fun games, lunch, etc. It was a different format than years past and so there was something for everyone (not just officers). It was a great opportunity to meet our fellow Catholic Daughters. Patty Robison, Tina, Cathy D. and I attended and of course Pat Adams. I hope more of you will attend next year.

Vocation Crucifixes-The prayer cards were given to me at workshop. They will be distributed to our members. As it states at the bottom of the prayer card all Catholic Daughters are to say the prayer daily.The crucifix is simply a reminder and as a sacramental (it has been blessed) praying with it will give extra graces to the person or persons prayer with it. The length of time each member has the crucifix can be determined by the court. People can sign up or simply pass to others who live close by. These will be at the Nov. meeting.

Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, November 21, at 6:30 in the church hall. Please be at the church no later than 6:30. It will be a short business only meeting to accommodate our Sign making activity which will be after the meeting.

*Sign Making- The signs are easy to make. No artistic talent is needed. Bring a friend. Lisa (our instructor) will bring all the materials .Cost is $25.00 payable by cash or check only.
*We will be collecting non-perishable food for St. Vincent de Paul at Christ the King

parish. We will also be collecting stocking stuffers for Penelope’s Place (a batter women’s shelter.) The items can be small items for children or travel size toiletries for the mom’s.

** Our Bake sale at OLOL is scheduled for the weekend of November 18/19 which is before our meeting. Bake ahead and freeze. Tina Bissett , Maureen Borden, Carmella and myself are the chairpersons. Please make plans to help sell after all the masses. I am hoping this will be a successful fundraiser as in the past. Any questions call Tina’s # 508-586-5859.

**The State Christmas party is Sunday, December 3rd at the Knights of Columbus hall in Westboro from 11-3. Cost is $35.00 per person with a family style meal and raffles. Guests are welcome. I have included the flyer again.

Court Queen of Peace in Foxboro is sponsoring an Advent Retreat on Saturday, December 2 from 12:00 to 3:00 PM, followed by confession and 4:00 Mass. The retreat will be conducted by Fr. Raphael Bonanno, Ministry of the Word from St. Anthony’s Shrine in Boston. We are asking for a small fee of $5.00 per person to cover the cost.
