Mirko Wischke: K hermenevtiki umetni{kega dela pri Hansu-
Georgu Gadamerju
je esteti~no izkustvo nerazdru`ljivo povezano s ~utnozaznavnim sre~anjem z
umetni{kim delom.
nezaklju~eno dogajanje in razpira vsakokrat nove oblike resnice.
umetnosti.
Klju~ne besede: estetsko izkustvo, Gadamer, Hartmann, umetni{ko delo, feno-
menologija
Mirko Wischke: To the Hermeneutics of Artwork in Hans-Georg
Gadamer
What makes an artwork an artwork and not an everyday object? Why do art-
works evoke a sense of wonder and even a feeling of estrangement or distancing
from our present circumstances? Do artworks embody a higher truth? I am
interested in these questions about aesthetic experience insofar as they bear
fruit for a critique of a traditional aesthetics of works. Do artworks embody a
higher truth as critics of work aesthetics maintain? If the process of appro-
priating an artwork is to avoid any falsification of its truth, must we regard this
process as merely secondary or reconstructive? If so, can art be understood
from the way it is given in experience? Do we misrepresent aesthetic expe-
rience if we take the experience of artworks as our point of departure?
Key words: aesthetic Experience, Gadamer, Hartmann, work of art, pheno-
menology

Julia V. Iribarne: Prispevki k fenomenologiji sanj
njajo~e zavesti«.

Julia V. Iribarne: Contributions to the Phenomenology of Dreams
The first half of the previous century witnessed an interesting discussion on
dreams, initiated by Edmund Husserl, Jean Hering and later also Theodor
Conrad. The paper presents the standpoints of these three authors as well as
those of Jean-Paul Sartre and Eugen Fink, shedding some light on certain
features of the phenomenon of “dreaming consciousness”.

úski: Hermenevti~no izro~ilo
namenom razvijanja projekta razumevanja v »dobi interpretacije«.
vijanja projekta razumevanja v »dobi interpretacije«.
njanja hermenevti~nega izro~ila Heideggra, Gadamerja in Ricoeurja s pestrimi
aktivnostmi in raziskavami zgodovinskih, filozofskih, jezikovnih in religioznih
vidikov projekta razumevanja. Predsednik in ustanovitelj in{tituta opi{e se-
danjost in prihodnost jezikovno usmerjene hermenevtike in spregovori o glav-
nih projektih publiciranja in{tituta. Prispevek se zaklju~i s povabilom med-
narodnih u~enjakov k sodelovanju z in{titutom pri razmisleku o klju~nih vidi-

Andrzej Wierciúski: Hermeneutic Legacy
This paper introduces the International Institute for Hermeneutics, which has
been founded to foster the project of understanding in the Age of interpretation.
As an international community of scholars committed to research and colla-
boration crossing the traditional boundaries of academia, the Institute furthers
the dialogue between speakers who are otherwise alienated from each other.
To understand means to grasp meaning and to share it with others. The mandate
of the Institute is to practice hermeneutics by upholding the hermeneutic legacy
of Heidegger, Gadamer, and Ricoeur through a variety of activities and research
on the historical, philosophical, lingual, and religious aspects of the project of
understanding. The president-founder of the Institute describes the present and
future of lingually oriented hermeneutics and addresses the major publishing
projects of the Institute. The paper concludes by extending an invitation of
collaboration to international scholars to join with the Institute in addressing
that which needs to be thought in an increasingly comprehensive horizon of
interpretative theory and practice.
