IZVLE^KI – ABSTRACTS
53.–54. {t. revije Phainomena »Hermenevtika in humanistika« obravnava pro-
blematiko filozofske utemeljitve humanisti~nih ved, kot se je razvijala v her-
menevtiki od Diltheya naprej. Upo{tevati so tako zgodovinski kot aktualni
vidiki te diskusije, ki se po eni strani odvija znotraj filozofije, po drugi strani pa
so vanjo vklju~ene vse humanisti~ne vede in znanost sploh, kolikor spo{tuje
svoj humani temelj.
The 53–54 issue of the Phainomena journal, titled »Hermeneutics and Hu-
manities«, tackles the issue of philosophical grounding of human sciences,
which has developed in the hermeneutics from Dilthey onwards. Both historical
and present-day aspects of the discussion are taken into account; the discussion
takes place within philosophy as well as in all human sciences and science in
general, insofar as it pays heed to its humane ground.

Hans-Georg Gadamer: Resnica in metoda.
Za~etek prabesedila
Ni le potreba po logi~ni samorazjasnitvi tista, ki duhoslovne znanosti povezuje
s filozofijo. Gre predvsem za to, da ti. duhoslovne znanosti same predstavljajo
problem za filozofijo: kar je bilo povedano in kar se da povedati o njihovi
logi~ni, spoznavnoteoretski utemeljitvi in o razlogih za njihovo znanstveno
samostojnost v razmerju do naravoslovnih znanosti, dale~ zaostaja za tem, kar
duhoslovne znanosti so in kar pomenijo filozofiji.

The need for logical self-explication is not the only thing that relates human
sciences to philosophy. The primary reason for it is that the so-called human
sciences themselves represent an issue for philosophy: what has been and can
be said about their logical, epistemological foundation and about the reasons
for their scientific independence in relation to natural sciences is lagging behind
what human sciences are and mean to philosophy.

med znanostjo in umetnostjo
V svojem predavanju imam »humanistiko« za skupek disciplin, katerega jedro
tvorijo duhoslovne znanosti – Geisteswissenschaften. Zgodovino oziroma zgo-
dovinopisje pa imam za paradigmati~ni primer humanisti~ne znanosti, ki se
razprostira med dvema poloma znanosti in umetnosti. Na enem koncu imamo
postopke, povezane z ravnanjem z arhivi, na drugem pa vrsto besednih izrazov,
zaradi katerih je zgodovina del literature. Vmes je dihotomija med razlago in
razumevanjem, namre~ obseg sredstev, s katerimi zgodovinarji sku{ajo odgo-
voriti na vpra{anja kot: »Zakaj se je zgodil ta dogodek, zakaj so ti ljudje naredili
to in to?« Ta razlagalna sredstva s stavkom zato – lingvisti~no zna~ilnostjo

vseh odgovorov na vpra{anje zakaj? – ravnajo na razli~ne na~ine; vemo pa,
kako raznolika je lahko raba stavka zato. Spoj razlage in razumevanja med
poloma dokumentaristike in literature, je dober primer zmesi znanosti in umet-
nosti v celotnem zgodovinskem procesu.

Paul Ricoeur: Humanities between Science and Art
My lecture takes “Humanities” to be the collection of disciplines, the core of
which is the human sciences – Geisteswissenschaften. History or historio-
graphy on the other hand provides a paradigmatic example of human sciences,
which expands between two poles of science and art. On the one side, there are
procedures related to archive management, and on the other a number of lexical
expressions which make history part of literature. In between there is a dicho-
tomy between interpretation and understanding, i.e. a scope of means with
which historians attempt to answer the questions such as: “Why has this event
taken place, why have these people done this and that? In the because sentence,
these interpretative means– linguistic feature of all answers to the question
why? – behave in various ways; it is well-known, however, how numerous and
various the usage of the sentence because can be. The combination of inter-
pretation and understanding between the poles of documentaries and literature
provides an excellent example of the mixture of science and art in the historical
process as a whole.

Hans-Ulrich Lessing: Hermenevtika v Diltheyevi utemeljitvi
duhoslovnih znanosti
V sklopu ~edalje intenzivnej{ega ukvarjanja z zgodovino hermenevtike v zad-
njih letih se ka`e Dilthej pogosto kot »klasik« tiste z Gadamerjem inkrimi-
nirane tradicionalne hermenevtike, s ~imer je postavljen v pozicijo golega
predhodnika filozofske hermenevtike oz. hermenevti~ne filozofije Heideggra
in Gadamerja. Toda ta pogled, ki izhaja v glavnem iz Gadamerjeve koncepcije
in se lahko zdi na prvi pogled povsem sprejemljiv, je problemati~en in pomeni
