Meet drinking water needs of Bandh village

    • Meet drinking water needs of Bandh village
    • Develop and protect natural springs for drinking water
    • Recharge ground water and the natural spring to continue to provide potable water
    • Rain water harvest and conservation
    • Improve environment


A check dam with 506,000 litre storage capacity was constructed in a stream.

  • 2 natural springs were developed and protected from animals.

  • Retaining walls were erected at strategic places

  • One earthen tank (percolation tank) for animals and ground water recharge was developed.



180 m3 of stone works were constructed for gully plugging

  • One filter chamber was developed for water filtration

  • 200 trees were planted in the project area

  • Piped water was supplied to villagers
