SONUÇ
Mimarlık-müzik
etkileşimine dair irdelenen
bakış farklılıkları sonucunda şunlar söylene-
bilir:
Derlenen bu yaklaşımlar kapsamında, mimar-
lık ve müzik disiplinleri arasındaki kurgusal
bağlantılar sunulmuştur. Farklı yaklaşımlar
bu iki disipline değer katmıştır. Fakat kuru-
lan bağlantılar hiçbir zaman başat bir esin
kaynağı haline gelememiştir. Denenen yollar
mimarlık ve müzik arasında yaratıcı edimi
geliştirici ortak tasarımsal yöntemler oluştu-
ramamıştır, yalnızca görsel ilişkiler üzerin-
den okumalar gerçekleşmiştir. Bu okumalar
mimarlık ve müzik arasında hala görünür sı-
nırlar yaratır. Fakat bu sınırları eritmenin yeni
yolları, yeni yöntem ve terminolojisi keşfedi-
lebilir. Bu nedenle, mimarlık ve müzik etki-
leşimini başka bir açıdan değerlendirmek, iki
disiplini birbirine başka bir katmanda dokun-
durmak mümkün kılınmalıdır. Mimarlık da,
müzik de insanın algısal ve duyusal dünya-
sında birtakım izler bırakır. Bu başka katman
arayışı, duyusal anlamı durak noktası olarak
kabul görürse, salt görsel benzetmelerden
uzakta duyusal boyutta etkileşimin araştırıl-
ması, yeni tasarımsal yöntemleri gündeme
getirebilir.

EXTENDED ABSTRACT
Introduction: Architecture is interdisciplinary. Interdisciplinarity is
the interaction of discipli-
nes, contributing to each other, and the state that the end product includes the data of resultant
disciplines. The state of architecture and music being interdisciplinary has been questioned
throughout history. Sometimes the similarities are prioritised, and sometimes the weakness of
the interaction is emphasized due to the differences. Although these two disciplines have so-
metimes been considered as crafts in history, it is inevitable that architecture and music overlap
due to the fact that academic circles regard them as artistic disciplines and, most importantly,
music cannot exist without place. Music has been associated with nature, mathematics and ge-
ometry by many philosophers throughout history. Since architecture is also an art and a science,
it has been associated with other disciplines by many architects and philosophers. Composers
and designers use universal tools of creation, as rhythm, measure, harmony and composition.
In addition, there are numerical and geometric requirements underlying both disciplines. They
contain a mathematical order. Throughout history, a divine order has been mentioned referring
to a mathematical association. According to the understanding of divine order, the order and
beauty that exist in the universe itself, the music and the architecture are also influenced. While
architecture reveals its forms in harmony with the order in the world, music compliments the
design process with the global order of the universe. Two disciplines overlap in this context.
Throughout history, especially architects, they have come up with designs by adapting the nu-
merical requirements of music to architecture. Especially the presence of music in the Church
has strengthened the need to question this interaction. In architecture, there are also technical
requirements for the sound and places where music can be produced. The architectural aco-
ustics is an issue which has been focused on and developed since Vitruvius (70-15 BC). The
production of spaces for music and the technical requirements of the music or sound in the
space have led to work in the field of architectural acoustics. As this space evolves, technical
and architectural requirements have been transformed into advantages, while the interaction
between architecture and music has been questioned. In addition, a new ground has emerged
where these two disciplines can come togetherby adapting themselves to the innovations bro-
ught out by the age of technology. Computer programs can transform the data of many discip-
lines to provide input. Thanks to this, a new dimension of interaction emerges. Many common
features like this allow these two disciplines to interact. As a result of these queries, many
