EUROPEAN SUMMER SCHOOL 2009
INVITATION LETTER
Kyokushin-Kan International European Summer School 2009 will take place in the Russian Federation (Krasnodar region, Anapa City, Sukko town, children's health camp “Smena”) in the period from June 30th to July 4th, 2009.

The European Summer School 2009 will be headed by Kancho Royama personally. Other Japanese instructors include Mr. Hiroto Okazaki (Kyokushin-kan International General headquarter deputy director, Kyokushin-kan International Technical committee chairman, 7th dan); Mr. Masahiro Kaneko (Kyokushin-kan International Technical committee vice-chairman, 5th dan); Mr. Masahide Ishijima (Kyokushin-kan International Technical committee member, World Champion 2005 in kata competitions, 4th dan).

In the frames of the European Summer School 2009 the special seminar for kata judges of the Kyokushin-kan Karate-do 2nd World Championships (Hungary, Budapest, October the 2nd – October the 4th, 2009) under shihan Okazaki Hiroto will be conducted.



The Kyokushin-kan karate-do Federation of Russia gladly invites all the members of Kyokushin-Kan International to take part in the Kyokushin-Kan International European Summer School 2009. Please find below the detailed information on terms and conditions!

Please, take the note that all the applications for the participation in Kyokushin-kan International European Summer School 2009 must be done before the 1st of June, 2009.

Departure of participants.

Some changes in time and duration of training sessions can be made in accordance with the instructors’ opinion.

To receive the certificate of a participant of Kyokushin-kan International European Summer School 2009 all the training sessions of the school must be attended.
5. Conditions for the participants of the Kyokushin-kan International European Summer School 2009

Participation in the Kyokushin-kan International European Summer School 2009 is allowed for all members of Kyokushin-kan International and other martial arts organizations, who in due time and in the right manner applied for participation to the office of Kyokushin-kan Karate-do Federation of Russia and paid prescribed participation fee.

Participation fee for a member of Kyokushin-kan International – 3700 Russian rubles.

Participation fee for a non-member of Kyokushin-kan International – 6000 Russian rubles.

Fee for a guest (a person who accompanies a participant, but does not take part in training sessions) in age above 14 years old – 1200 Russian rubles.

Accommodation price for the official hotel (3 meals daily included) – 1100 Russian rubles per 1 day per 1 person.

For participants living outside of official hotel additional cost of 500 Russian rubles is imposed for use of sports facilities.
Note

At the current rates $1 US is equivalent to approximately 34.1 rubles, and 1 Euro – to approximately 44.1 rubles, but the rates can change by the time of the Summer School.


Attention!

All the participants of the Summer School, who are not citizens of the Russian Federation, must arrange an insurance policy for the case of accident (casualty) applicable for the all period of stay in the Russian Federation!

At the eve of the Kyokushin-kan International European Summer School 2009 the Kyokushin-kan karate-do Federation of Russia will conduct its own Kyokushin-kan Russia Summer School 2009. Foreign guests are also invited to participate!

To receive the certificate of a participant of Kyokushin-kan Russia Summer School 2009 the contender must attended at least 2 training sessions a day. The general training is obligatory.
5. Conditions for the participants of the Kyokushin-kan Russia Summer School 2008

Participation in the Kyokushin-kan Russia Summer School 2008 is allowed for all the members of Kyokushin-kan International and other martial arts organizations, who in due time and in the right manner applied for participation to the office of Kyokushin-kan Karate-do Federation of Russia and paid prescribed participation fee.

Deadline for application for the participation Kyokushin-kan International European Summer School 2009 and in Kyokushin-kan Russia Summer School 2009.
All the applications for the participation in Kyokushin-kan International European Summer School 2009 and in Kyokushin-kan Russia Summer School 2009 must be done till the 1st of June, 2009.

The applications must be delivered:

- for members of Kyokushin-kan International – by legitimate Country Representatives, branch-chiefs and dojo operators;

- for non-members of Kyokushin-kan International – in person.

In application form all the participants and guests are included!

THE ROUTE TO CHILDREN'S HEALTH CAMP “SMENA” (RUSSIAN FEDERATION, KRASNODAR REGION, ANAPA CITY, SUKKO TOWN)
By airplane – to the airports of Krasnodar city or Anapa city.

By train – to Anapa station or Tonnelnaya station.

By bus – to Anapa city bus terminal.

Then by bus or limousine bus “Anapa – sukko” or taxi to the station “Golubaya Dolina”.

Special bus can be also provided (application in advance needed).
Appendix № 1

DAN AND KYU GRADES EXAMINATIONS ADMITTANCE
To the dan and kyu grades examinations are admitted: only those members of Kyokushin-kan International, who satisfy the standard requirements for pretenders, have received permission from the appropriate Country Representative, Branch-chief or Dojo operator, in due time and in due form have applied for the participation in the examinations to the office of Kyokushin-kan karate-do Federation of Russia and paid their participation in Kyokushin-kan International European Summer School 2009.
The examinations admittance conditions for dan grades pretenders are as follows:

- availability of application form for the participation in the examination;

- availability of recommendation letter from the appropriate Country Representative, Branch-chief or Dojo operator in arbitrary shape, containing the short testimonial of the pretender;

- availability of originals and copies of the certificates, certifying the qualification of the pretender at the moment of examination (pretenders for the 1st dan must provide the certificates for all kyu grades; pretenders for the 2nd dan and above – the certificate, certifying the dan grade at the moment of examination);

- age not less than 18 years;

- expiration of obligatory term interval from the moment of previous examination, which amounts to:

- in case of examination for the 1st dan – 1 year since the successful examination to the 1st kyu grade;

- in case of examination for the 2nd dan – 2 years since the successful examination to the 1st dan;

- in case of examination for the 3rd dan – 3 years since the successful examination to the 2nd dan;

- in case of examination for the 4th dan – 4 years since the successful examination to the 3rd dan;

- in case of examination for the 5th dan – 5 years since the successful examination to the 4th dan;

- 4 photos (color or white-black) 3 Х 4 cm with dogi.


The examinations admittance conditions for kyu grades pretenders are as follows:

- availability of application form for the participation in the examination;

- availability of written permission for the examination from the appropriate Country Representative, Branch-chief or Dojo operator in arbitrary form;

- availability of originals and copies of appropriate certificates, certifying the qualification of the pretender at the moment of examination;

- expiration of obligatory term interval from the moment of previous examination, which amounts to:

- in case of examination for the 10th kyu – 3 months since the beginning of trainings in Kyokushin-kan karate;

- in case of examination for the 9th kyu – 3 months since the successful examination to the 10th kyu;

- in case of examination for the 8th kyu – 3 months since the successful examination to the 9th kyu;

- in case of examination for the 7th kyu – 3 months since the successful examination to the 8th kyu;

- in case of examination for the 6th kyu dan – 3 months since the successful examination to the 7th kyu;

- in case of examination for the 5th kyu – 6 months since the successful examination to the 6th kyu;

- in case of examination for the 4th kyu – 6 months since the successful examination to the 5th kyu;

- in case of examination for the 3rd kyu – 6 months since the successful examination to the 4th kyu;

- in case of examination for the 2nd kyu – 6 months since the successful examination to the 3rd kyu;

- in case of examination for the 1st kyu – 6 months since the successful examination to the 2nd kyu.
Requirements to the appearance of participants of examination

- clean white dogi (without any inscriptions) with the breast mark «Kyokushin-kan» or «Kyokushinkai» and with obi, corresponding to the current grade.


All the participants are required to be present at the place of examination 30 minutes before the examination beginning and have with them individual protectors and receipt, certifying the payment for the examination.
