Logging Into Studentweb

Version 1.10

FTP addresses:

Studentweb FTP address: studentwebftp.centennialcollege.ca

Tested FTP Programs:

Filezilla - https://filezilla-project.org/download.php


  1. Start your FTP program and enter the address of the system you want to connect to. Make sure you set “Require explicit FTP over TLS”


Replace Host in the picture with: studentwebftp.centennialcollege.ca

  1. Enter your Centennial network login information (that you use in the labs).


User ID: cencol\300222333 (use your own student #)

Password: ************* (use your own password --- min 10 characters that you set up at the IT dept window)

You are now ready to connect and use FTP.

  1. After you are connected, move in your own folder on studentweb (jdoe37 – first part of your email address on myCentennial (jdoe37@my.centennialcollege.ca) on the right part of the screen. (type /jdoe37 and press Enter)

Find the files you want to publish on the left side of the screen (C:, H:, E:, etc)

Drag and drop files from the left side to the right side. If files don’t show on the right, right-click and select Refresh.

  1. After publishing, check your page in any browser by browsing:


After changing your files with an editor (TextPad) and re-saving them in the H: (or E:) drive, you need to re-publish them in the server using Filezilla.

  1. Your home page is always index.html and it has to be in your main folder jdoe37 on studentweb (not in a nested folder!). Otherwise the server returns an error when you browse your folder.
