Southern Crescent Technical College (SCTC) provides all students with cloud hosted Exchange email accounts, as well as latest versions of the Microsoft Office Suite via Microsoft’s Office 365 ProPLus subscription service plan. The office suite can be accessed online or downloaded to your computer.
This service is available to all currently registered students. Once you have not attended school for two semesters, your account will be deactivated.

The Microsoft Office 365 plan provides students with Office Online, which includes Outlook.com, a cloud-hosted Exchange email account. Through the Office 365 ProPlus program, students also have the added advantage of accessing lightweight, web browser versions of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote, as well as social media integration. Office applications installed through this program remain activated as long as a student remains eligible. When the student graduates, or leaves the university, the subscription will expire.

Access to a full version of Office that can be installed on up to five computers.
Access to iOS and Android Office apps that can be installed on up to five mobile devices.
Access to Office Online.
File storage and sharing with 1 TB storage/user.
The user must have local administrator privileges on the computer to install the software.
Students must connect any device with Office 365 ProPlus to the Internet at least once every 30 days for an automatic license re-activation.
Minimum operating systems: Windows 8, Windows 2008 R2 with .NET 3.5 or greater, Mac OS X version 10.5.8.
How To Login and Check Your Student Email:
At the login page, in the field that states email@example.com, enter only your_SCTC email address, firstname.lastname@example.org, for the login account.
On the left hand side, select Mail>Accounts>Forwarding
SelectStart forwarding, enter theemail addressyou want, set or clear theKeep a copy of forwarded messages in Outlook Web Appcheck box, and then selectSave.
Accessing your student email via the Microsoft Outlook app on iOS or Android.
Follow these steps to set up Microsoft Outlook on your iOS or Android device. Microsoft Outlook for iOS requires iOS 8.0 or higher. App availability varies by country so find out what's available in your country. If the app is incompatible with your device, try adding your mail account using the built-in mail app that comes with your device.
Download the Microsoft Outlook app from the Apple Store if you haven't installed it yet. (search for "Microsoft Outlook")
If you already have it installed, open it, then tap Settings > ADD AN ACCOUNT.
Tap Office 365.
In the first field (Email or phone), type only your full SCTC Student email address, for email@example.com.
Enter your password
Click Sign in and you will be redirected to your Inbox.
In the Email field, enter your Tufts email address. Typically, this will be firstname.lastname@example.org, such as email@example.com.
In the Password field, enter your Student Email Password.
The Description field fills in automatically (Exchange).
Tap Next. Your account will be verified.
Click save and open the Mail app to view your inbox.
Setting up the Built-in Mail on Your Android Device
Please note that there are various Android operating systems (Jelly Bean, KitKat, Lollipop, etc.), so the steps for your device may be slightly different.
Tap Settings > Accounts > Add Account > Email.
In the Email address field, enter your Tufts email address. Typically, this will be firstname.lastname@example.org, such as email@example.com.
In the Password field, enter your Tufts Password.
Select the Exchange option.
If you see a message about additional security features, tap OK to continue.
Once the device verifies the server settings, the Account Options page opens. Accept the defaults or select the options for how you want to receive and send your mail, and then tap Next. (You may need to scroll down to see Next.)
On the Set up email page you can change the name of your account. When you're finished tap Done.
