Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!

Announcements: 

 

Church Cleaning and Coffee Hour: Both of these 

ministries, admittedly neither glamorous, are in need of 

volunteers and sponsors. We all notice when these tasks are 

not done and it does reflect on our parish family, especially 

when visitors come. Check both schedules and see what you 

can commit to in the coming months.   

 

Mirrors of Truth:  We will have our monthly meeting on 

Tuesday evening at 7pm. All invited 

 

New Antimens:  As announced last week, St. Mark’s received 

a new Antimens from Archbishop Mark during his Paschal visit.  

The Antimens is a cloth signed by the hierarch that, in 

essence, gives permission to serve the Divine Services in a 

particular church.  It rests on the Holy Table and has a relic of 

a saint, a tradition that goes back to the early Church when 

services were served on the tombs of the martyrs.  Our new 

Antimens contains relics of Newmartyr St. Hilarion (Troitsky), 

Archbishop of Vereya 1886-1929.  Further information on his

Sisterhood:  Today is the Sunday of the Holy Myrrhbearers, 

the heavenly patrons of our sisterhood.  It is not an 

organization, but truly a sisterhood that demonstrates the love 

of sisters for one another and for their brothers in countless 

acts of self giving love, in ways too numerous to list.  We are 

blessed to have such sisters and wish to express our 

thanksgiving to them for all they do and our profound and 

sincerest hope that God will grant to each of them and all of 

them peace, health, salvation and furtherance in all good 

things, as well as to their families and friends.
