Milan Meeting Minutes

Thursday, March 8th, 2018

7:00 p.m.
Mayor Ron Anderson called the monthly meeting to order on Thursday, March 8th, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Milan Community Hall.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Present: Ronald Anderson, Merle Hilden, Josh Vetter and Heidi Hanson. Jim Anderson was absent
Also Present: Lisa Graphenteen and Gwen Olson
Motion was made by council member Vetter, seconded by council member Hilden to approve February 13, 2018 meeting minutes. Motion passed unanimously.
Jim Nelson report was received and noted. Jim was not present at the meeting.
Motion was made by council member Vetter, seconded by council member Hanson to approve 4 medications be stocked on the EMS Van for the estimated amount of $1500.00. Motion passed unanimously.
Lisa Graphenteen gave an update of what they are working on for the next phase of the Art place Grant. See handout.
Concerns of the public: None

Old Business:

RLF reports were reviewed.

The new camera at the water treatment plant and the new license plate reader will be installed in the middle of February.

Snap Ed and the Bush grant have finally been submitted and we should hear by May if we received the grant or not.

There is no new information on the bike trail.

Clean up ads will be going out in the mail the beginning of April.

Motion was made by Council member Hilden, seconded by council member Vetter to move council meeting for April to Monday, April 2 at 6:00 p.m. Motion passed unanimously. Discussion of possible closed special meeting for Thursday April 12 at 6:30 for application reviews. Date will be set firmly on the April 2 council meeting. Job Description ad is to be placed in the Western Peach, The Appleton Press, The American News, Star Advisor, Facebook and possibly the Work Force Center Letter.

New Business:

Island Services corporation was administratively dissolved by the Secretary of State’s Office. Clerk to email Janice Nelson and ask who owns this property then and What is the next step to getting the tanks removed.

Motion was made by council member Hilden, seconded by council member Vetter to approve a donation of $300.00 and pay for the rentals of the porta potties for Syttende Mai. Motion passed unanimously.

Motion was made by council member Hilden, seconded by council member Vetter to approve a donation of $300.00 to Meander. Motion passed unanimously.

Council has decided not to renew our ad in the MN Scenic Bi Way 2 year ad.

Motion was made by council member Hilden, seconded by council member Vetter to approve ACH bills totaling $410.80. Motion passed unanimously.

Motion was made by council member Vetter, seconded by council member Hanson to approve monthly bills totaling $14,468.25. Motion passed unanimously. Mayor Ron Anderson abstained.

Motion was made by council member Hilden, seconded by council member Vetter to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed unanimously.



Meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
