  • Netherlands and Romania are partners historians. The Netherlands is one of the first countries to recognize the independence of Romania and established diplomatic relations with it in 1880. Relations began centuries ago and covers the political, social , cultural, and economic . The two countries have worked both in good times and in difficult times , such as during the totalitarian regime , the ambassador Coen Stork provided political and moral support to dissidents . Since the revolution, an impressive number of partnerships between organizations in the two countries led to full cooperation Success in health care , education, justice , employment , good gurvernări , equal opportunities , environment , development of civil society and media media. These projects were supported by grants provided by the Dutch government. Currently still conducts justice , public health and child protection. Also , there are more than 300 private sector initiatives that unite the two countries.



Dutch and Romanian Government is working closely on various topics, including strengthening economic and financial policies of the EU police cooperation (prevention of trafficking and cybercrime) and foreign policy (such as Afghanistan or the Middle East peace process).
