Professor Nataliya Nizova (Kyiv, Ukraine), Director of Ukrainian Center for Socially Dangerous 

Disease Control (UCDC). UCDC is directly related to the strategic vision of the "Health 2020” 

program, implemented by the European Regional WHO Office and is developing as the National 

Center for situation analysis in public health. At present UCDC is the leading institution that 

performs state policy and measures in response to HIV/AIDS and TB in Ukraine. 

Professor N. Nizova is acknowledged expert in healthcare, social management, policy 

development and quality assurance. Previously she was involved in projects held by AIHA , 

USAID, UNICEF programs. She serves as a member of WHO European Bureau expert groups on 

the diagnosis and treatment of HIV, M&E, PMTCT and others as well as a member of number of 

state councils and expert groups of Ministry of Health of Ukraine.  

Professor N. Nizova is the author of over 500 scientific studies, a regular participant of world 

and European conventions on public health and combating socially dangerous diseases as part 

of official delegations.
