1. TRUE - 900 CE means the same as 900 AD. In other words, this means the year 900.
"Circa" means "about", so it's saying that people settled in Iceland in about the year 900,
which is the same as 'the beginning of the 10th century'. For the meanings of CE, AD, BCE
and BC, have a look in a dictionary.
2. TRUE - "The island sits astride the boundary between the Eurasian and North American
Plates."
3. TRUE - "Some volcanic activity occurs offshore, especially off the southern coast."
('Offshore' means in the ocean or sea)
