Status-Quo-Analysis from long-term field experiments:

determination of research requirements for organic farming
Long-term field experiments are essential to investigate e. g. the effects of crop rotations or organic fertilization on soils and crops. Information about long-term field experiments is therefore of particular importance to Organic Agriculture.

The target of the status quo analysis is to determine and to quantify the needs for further research regarding long-term field experiments in organic farming. For this purpose, all long-term field experiments under the conditions of organic farming and those, which were mainly initialized for organic farming, will be included in the analysis. Main focus is Germany.

The survey consists of an intensive literature research and a questioning of research institutes for organic farming. The basic data (experimental site, duration, aim etc.) will be categorized and the main results will be worked out. Subsequently, the results will be evaluated and further research for different topic areas will be quantified.
