NER CADET LEADERSHIP SCHOOL

Hosted by NYWG

06-11 JULY 2004

STRATTON ANGB, SCOTIA, NY

To the Cadets of New York Wing and Northeast Region, I hope you will accept this invitation to the NER Cadet Leadership School 2004 hosted by NYWG. This year the activity will start with arrival on Tuesday 06 July 2004 at 1900 hours for school participants. The classes will run from 07 July 2004 through Sunday 11 July 2004, with graduation of the Class of 2004 commencing at 1400 hours.
Cost, Instructors and Materials:
The cost of the RCLS is $115 per cadet. This cost includes meals for the duration of the activity and covers the cost of materials provided. Each cadet, when they arrive and sign in, will receive a binder of information that they will need during the activity. Some of this year’s featured instructors include; Major Bill Eberst, USAF, Lieutenant Colonel Kenneth Andreu, CAP, Lieutenant Colonel Diane Wojtowicz, CAP, and 1st Lieutenant Scott Gardner, CAP, among many other distinguished military and civilian personnel.
Accreditation:
RCLS attendance is not a guaranteed diploma.  Students must work hard in order to graduate.  This is a challenging school from which you will gain valuable knowledge and leadership techniques to take back to your units. Each attendee who successfully completes the school will receive a certificate of accomplishment signed by the NER Commander indicating completion of the school. This certificate will fulfill the RCLS requirement for completion of Phase IV of the C.A.P. Cadet Program, according to CAPR 52-16, 2-9(d).
Application Procedures:
To apply to the RCLS, send one (1) copy of the CAPF-31 with all appropriate information, as well as the $115 check made payable to New York Wing CAP. This year’s school will only be accepting 50 cadets from NY and surrounding wings on a first come first serve source based upon wing, so get your information in quickly! Acceptance packages will then be mailed to the accepted cadets, or your check will be returned. The CAPF-31 and check should be postmarked to the following address by 12 June 2004:
Raquel Ayala, C/Capt, CAP
