Study on test and application about removal iron on goethite method using strong airflow

Abstract: Researching on the high iron solution in zinc hydrometallurgy and strong airflow device and removal iron on goethite method was introduced. The influence of removal iron effect about oxygen flow, copper ion concentration, temperature, reaction time was researched. And the optimization condition was: oxygen flow was 0.2-0.35m3/h, copper ion concentration was 0.25-0.5g/L, temperature was 80-90℃, neutralizing agent was chose second zinc oxide powder, reaction time was 5-7h..Under the optimal conditions, the Fe2+ was reduced to 0.025g/L after removal iron, and the residue which contained Fe was 38.7%. The analysis about SEM and XRD was showed that the iron was existed as FeOOH crystal shape in iron residue, and as the form of iron vitriol was very few. Production practice shows that, when the average iron ion was 10.9 g/L on front solution and 1.26 g/L on after, the removal iron weight was 1439kg/d.When theaverage iron ion was 13.31 g/L on front solution and 2.73 g/L on after, the removal iron weight was 2454kg/d, and the removal Sb weight was 31kg/d.

Influence of jarosite generation on indium leach rate in leaching process of secondary zinc oxide

Abstract: The leaching slag through leaching indium from Waelz oxidizing contained a large amount of jarosite. The reasons of the alum are analyzed theoretically. The influence on indium leaching rate about control of the acidity and the amount of reagent was considered. The control of creation and destruction of alum was proposed to increase the leaching rate of indium. The production practice shows that the leaching rate of indium increased from 60% to about 96%, and the indium content in the leach residue containing also decreased from 900g/t to 100 g/t ~ 200 g/t.
