    • Freelance interpreter/translator, 1999 – to date.

Fields of expertise: clinical medicine, health care, clinical studies, marketing/advertising, PR, social sciences, education, tourism/travel, general, etc.

Cooperation with international language agencies (Lionbridge, MAPI S.A.S., TNS Opinion S.A., UK Language Solutions, Spectrum Translations, Corporate Translations, NOVA Translations, etc.and local (SGS, Caucasus Translations, etc.)




  • Literary translation, Georgian translation of A. Huxley’s “Brave New World” - published in 2013 and nominated in 2014 for the national literary award “Saba” in the category “Best Georgian Translation of Foreign Literature”;

    • MAPI Institute, local project manager for linguistic validation projects - managing the process of forward and backward translations of PRO instruments, reconciliation of intermediate version (via MAPI translation management system), cognitive debriefing interviews with respondents to test target language version, proofreading.




    • American International Health Alliance (USAID), translator/interpreter English/Georgian/Russian 1999 – 2005; health partnership projects in the fields of primary health care, public health, women’s health, epidemiology, neonatology, health management, blood banks, etc. with extensive need of professional translation services to facilitate communication of American and Georgian partner health organizations and make project content comprehensible for local community; provision of translation/interpretation services for AIHA (www.aiha.com) international annual conferences.



    • EU TACIS project for the Support to Primary Health Care Reform in Georgia. National Centre for Disease Control and Public Health; Project Coordinator. 2005 – 2012;

Coordination of project activities with donors (EU, WB, Global Fund, UNICEF, WHO, USAID, etc.) and stakeholders; management/coordination of health promotion activities in accordance Health Promotion Strategy and Action Plan for Georgia 2010-2014. Successful implementation of information, education and communication media campaigns throughout Georgia in the fields of tobacco, nutrition, physical activity, immunization, screening, safe driving; reporting. The media campaign has been recognized as the best among 37 projects from the European Neighborhood region.


  • British Airways in Georgia, PR Agency Action Global Communications, PR Manager -1999 – 2005;

PR/communications services related to British Airways London-Tbilisi operations: liaison with local press, TV and radio via press releases and feature stories; organization of press-conferences, promotional events and familiarization/press trips for media to BA preferred destinations; handling crisis communications; media monitoring and clipping services; communication with and reporting to British Airways marketing team in London and Action Global Communications head office (www.actionprgroup.com);


  • WomenAid International-Caucasus, Project Manager/Trainer, 2001.

Coordination and supervision of project activities: providing all necessary educational materials/aids for the trainings in reproductive health/health promotion; implementation of IEC activities at community level, liaison with relevant governmental and NG organizations, partners; drafting monthly, mid-term and final reports to be submitted to the donor agency UNHCR.
