  • Texts can be separated into groups

  • called genres and subgenres.



Fiction: creative or imaginative writing.

  • Folklore: stories once passed down orally.

  • Dramas: plays or scripts.

  • Poetry: writing concerned with the beauty of language.

  • Usually says “Retold by” or “Adapted by”
