Sidik Suraputra is a partner, having been with the firm since its founding in 1971.

Mr. Suraputra is a Professor of Law in the Faculty of Law of the University of Indonesia, specializing in 

public international law.  He is also a member of the Expert Legal Advisors to the Minister of Justice and 

Human Rights for International Law Problems, and a member of the Standing Committee of International 

Law, Indonesian Committee of the ASEAN Lawyers Association.  Mr. Suraputra also serves as a member 

of the Advisory Board of the International and Comparative Law Center, the Southwestern Legal 

Foundation, Dallas, Texas, USA.  He is a member of the Honorary Board (“Ketua Dewan Kehormatan”) of 

the Association of the Indonesian Capital Market Legal Consultants and an Arbiter of the Indonesian Capital 

Market Arbitration Board (Badan Arbitrase Pasar Modal Indonesia).

Mr. Suraputra obtained his law degree from the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of University of 

Indonesia in 1961 and his doctoral degree in Law from the same university in 1988.  He studied at the 

Faculty of Law of the University of Leiden, Netherlands, and obtained a diploma in International Relations 

from the Institute of Social Studies at the Hague, Netherlands, in 1967.
