YFU was founded in 1951 by Rachel Andresen as a response to WWII

  • 250,000+ students have been on a YFU exchange

  • Approximately 2,000 students come to the US from around 60 countries each year

  • Approximately 500 students travel overseas from the USA each year

YFU USA volunteers and staff are expected to devote their best efforts to the interests of the organization and its activities.
