Title: Spillover and pandemic properties of zoonotic viruses with high host plasticity

Christine Kreuder Johnson1, Peta L. Hitchens1, Tierra Smiley Evans1, Tracey Goldstein1, Kate Thomas1, Andrew Clements2, Damien O. Joly3, Nathan D. Wolfe3, Peter Daszak4, William B. Karesh4, Jonna K. Mazet1

Supplemental Information

Supplementary Table: Zoonotic viruses with summarized host and transmission interface data (n=95). General transmission categories were grouped here to show disease transmission from direct or indirect contact with wild animals (wild), transmission from direct or indirect contact with domestic animals (domestic), transmission by vector involving wildlife host (wild by vector), transmission by vector involving domestic animal host (domestic by vector), and transmission by vector with either wild and/or domestic animal hosts (by vector). Recognized human-to-human transmissibility, virus host range among wild and domestic animal taxonomic orders, and host plasticity measures (betweenness centrality calculated in the virus-host network) are also shown.
