On 28 April - 1 May 2014, Regional Programme Coordinator of UNDP Central Asian Climate Risk Management Programme (CA-CRM) conducted a monitoring mission to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. The visit included national stakeholder consultations, and meetings with local farmers of Nohur project region and Adaptation Fund Project team. It was also discussed the work of the Project at the national level and avenues for further collaboration. (Annex 7.)
From 1 July 2014, the salary of Project Assistant on procurement of consultancy services started to cover from Project budget.
The Project team updated the status of actions from Management Response on Mid-Term Evaluation for the period April-December 2014 and submitted to the Regional office. (Annex 8.) Challenges/Lessons learned
The implementation of activity on introducing resource-saving technologies was postponed due to delays of the 2nd shipment (tractor drawn scraper) by Easyfarming Company. Hands-on training for project beneficiaries of Sakarchage project region was therefore implemented in early October 2014.
