Workshop/training focused on climate change and risk reduction measures at the local level.

Based on climate risk assessment and prioritized problems on targeted regions, the Project implemented a number of concrete adaptation measures for vulnerable agricultural and livestock communities.

South-South cooperation provided greater support to national and regional activities implementation.

Within the framework of South-South cooperation the land and water-related issues and possibilities in the region were discussed and adaptation measures successfully implemented.

Best water management, soil testing and garden management practices were piloted at the three project demonstration sites. Organization of capacity building activities and hands-on trainings helped to raise awareness, share expertise and stimulate coordination and synergies between local authorities, technical experts and beneficiaries of two projects CRM and AF.

The close cooperation with the AF Project enables to sustain joint and supplementary CRM measures by implementing best experiences on a large-scale and facilitating adaptation practices across the pilot regions.

Inter-agency coordination exists between the following government agencies: Turkmenhydromet, Ministry of Nature Protection, Ministry of Water Resources, Ministry of Agriculture and the Emergency Management Department. It based on data and information exchange.

PB members were actively engaged in a series of activities directed at mainstreaming of CRM in the capacities of relevant agencies.
