NOTE: если возвратное местоимение изменить на each other то значение поменяется:
Tom and Bill blamed each other. (том и бил обвиняли друг друга.)
Bill and bob saw themselves in the mirror.
Bill and Bob saw each other.
также они используются для усиления значения. И ставится после слова которое нужно выделить.
The king himself gave her the medal. (он сам лично, не кто-то другой )
Ann herself opened the door.
Tom himself went to welcome us.
I saw Tom himself. (самого тома а не кого то другого)
I spoke to the President himself. (говорил с самим президентом)
