Changes to Banking Information
LS is seeing an increasing number of cases in which contract interpreters and ELOs are submitting vouchers, and the banking information we have on file is incorrect. It is therefore not recognizable to the payments section of the Department of State. That section is located in Charleston, SC, and is called the Global Financial Management System (GFMS).
In order to avoid lengthy payment delays, please make sure to adhere to the following procedures when and if you change banks or bank accounts:
1) First and foremost is to change your System of Award Management (SAM) information. You must do this through the website, which is www.sam.gov Making the adjustments in SAM any time you change your bank account is mandatory.
2) The website will require you to enter your current and most up-to-date banking information.
3) Once you have changed your banking information with SAM, send a separate e-mail to LS with the following information:

A. Your name

B. The last four digits of your Basic Ordering Agreement (contract) with LS

C. The last four digits of your Social Security Number

D. Your DUNS Number
The e-mail address to which you must send the above information is LS-changeofinformation@state.gov
Do NOT send the e-mail to Erica Foster or to your Assigning Officer. It must go to the above-listed e-mail address in order to be changed in the system.
If you have any questions which have not been addressed above regarding changes you may have made to your banking information, please contact your Assigning Officer. Remember that your Assigning Officer does not have access to the payments computer system.
If you are not receiving your salary within 35 days of the date on which you submitted your voucher to LS, contact your Assigning Officer, who will then be in touch with the Administrative Division in LS, which has access to GFMS.
