  • Assist Columbia University professor in his role as editor of JMSE. Interface with international authors and peer reviewers, 18 associate editors, production personnel, and editor to ensure that submissions meet JMSE standards; and to facilitate and streamline the editorial process. Research, present, and implement initiatives to improve the journal’s impact factor; and analyze trends in international submissions. City University of New York (CUNY)
Documentation Quality Assurance Specialist (Manager) 2009-12

The NYC Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE) contracted CUNY’s School of Professional Studies to devise and deliver technical job training to OCSE’s 800+ employees. (“OCSE / CUNY Training Program”)



  • Developed house style guide; reviewed, edited, and approved all (30-400-page) technical and training materials written by 22-member CUNY team before submission to the client; prioritized assignments and synchronized with team members to maintain quality and efficiency, ensure adherence to tight deadlines, and facilitate productive collaboration.

Special Projects Writer (OCSE/CUNY Training Program) 2008-09

  • Interviewed NYC HRA Deputy Director and all OCSE senior managers to determine what they considered most important about their contributions to the agency’s mission; reviewed all relevant documents. Incorporated and organized the received information to produce a robust, original annual report that presented the agency in a positive anti-poverty light, improved its relationship with community-based organizations, and increased its ability to collect child support in 2009.

  • Led CUNY team and liaised with graphics designer to create a user-friendly narrative of “vanilla” case studies to accompany the technical job training of 200+ new OCSE hires. Clear, straightforward storyline helped incoming employees to understand the child support system and the complex structures and procedures used by OCSE to collect child support.
