05. THE SPEAKERS LORENZO CAPRIO Lorenzo Caprio has been the president of Fiera Milano Spa since April 2017. Holding a Master Degree in Economics and Business from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, Caprio is full professor of Business Finance at the Economics Department of the same university. Chartered accountant and financial auditor, he has covered prestigious roles with and offered consulting to major Italian and international groups. He has guided national research projects funded by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research. He is the author of more than 40 publications in Italian and international academic magazines and monographs. DARIO CORBETTA Dario Corbetta – born 1958, married, two children, a university degree in mechanical engineering and a master in business administration at Politecnico di Milano – is the director of Acimall, where he arrived in 1991 after working for the association Ucimu-Sistemi per produrre and the global corporations Continental and 3M. In charge for promotion activities, Corbetta headed the Studies Office and became Xylexpo marketing manager in 2010. His appointment to director came one year after he had been named to deputy manager. JUERGEN KOEPPEL Juergen Koeppel – 53, educated in Aerospace Technology and Business Administration – since 2016 has been the President of Eumabois, the European federation of national association of wood and wood-based materials technology manufacturers. Now Ceo at Leitz GmbH & Co. KG, he was previously a board member at Homag Group AG, in charge for sales, marketing and service, after serving for many years as general manager at Brandt and developing professional experiences at Gildemeister Drehmaschinen GmbH and Leuco GmbH & Co. For twelve years he served in the German Air Force. FERDINANDO PASTORE
In 2000 he passed a competitive examination for managers and joined the secretariat of the Chairman and General Manager office at Ice in Rome, acquiring significant experience. Since 2015 he has been the director of the Industrial Technology, Energy and Environment department at Ice in Rome. LORENZO PRIMULTINI Lorenzo Primultini – born 1967 – in November 2013 was appointed to president of Acimall, the association of Italian woodworking machinery manufacturers. A mechanical engineer with a Master in Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, he is the president of Primultini in Marano Vicentino, Vicenza. FEDERICO ROSSI Born in Rimini in 1978, Federico Rossi studied architecture at the Architectural Association in London. After working for Nigel Coates and Zaha Hadid, he founded Frform.com, nurturing his passion for design and digital manufacturing. In 2010 he started an academic career as professor at the London South Bank University, where he founded and is now directing DARLAB. In 2013 he represented Federlegno Arredo at Salone del Mobile with the “Vaulted Table” project, which was later on exhibited also at IFCC in NYC and featured on Wired Magazine. In 2005 he started a collaboration with visual artist Quayola, developing Sculpture Factory; in 2016 he exhibited at the Royal Academy.
