With the Holiday Season almost upon us, your Health and Safety Committee would like you to reflect on stress
management and reduction. The word Mandala is Sanskrit and roughly translates to “Circle”.
Originally they
were used in Hinduism and Buddhism but are now used by mental health practitioners around the world.
Mandalas may be employed for focusing attention and for mediation and relaxation.
Rules:
1.
Select a Mandala from images (supplied by James Woods) or select your own from
the internet or
create your own.
2.
You may use any medium you desire with one exception. You may NOT print a fully coloured Mandala
from the internet. Some suggestions:

Markers
b.
Crayons
c.
Pencil Crayons
d.
Paint
3.
Mandalas must be submitted to John Payne by December 18, 2015 at 12:00pm. Please submit by
email to
jpayne@gizhac.com
4.
File format must be .jpg.
5.
Voting will be done by anyone (one vote each day) via
www.gizhac.com
with the results announced on
after Christmas holidays on the website.
6.
Winners will be notified by email and Prize pick up will
be available in the new year
