650 Students of Ananuri Public School to Study in an
environment Compliant with the Modern Standards
Ananuri Public School Rehabilitation was implemented within
the framework of “Grassroots and Human Security Grant
Assistance Programme” of the Government of Japan. The
Ceremony will be attended by the minister of Education and
Science, Giorgi Nodia, H.E. Mr. Masamitsu Oki, Ambassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia and
representatives of Ananuri local authority and non-
governmental organizations.
The Grant Contract of the above-mentioned project was
concluded between the Embassy of Japan and NGO “Momavali”
on 19 September, 2007. The aim of the project is to improve the
learning condition for pupils enrolled in Ananuri School through
rehabilitating its sports hall, rest room, library and handicrafts
room as well as establishing water drainage in the school yard.
Approximately 650 pupils will be benefited from the project.
The scale of the project this time is 85,757 USD.
