OFFICE ORDER

Sub:- Calling Quotations for translating the reports of Law Commission of India.

The Law Commission of India, Department of Legal Affairs prepares Reports on legal matters from time to time. For translating, typing and proof reading, the Law Commission of India require skilled persons, who could perform the job with quality of work. In Law Commission of India rates approved by Finance Division is Rs.400/- per page consisting not less than 400 words of English Text. Accordingly, Law Commission of India invites quotations from eligible persons who are interested to be empanelled as translator for performing the task of Translation, Typing and Proof Reading at the above mentioned rates.

2. The candidate applying for the translation work must fulfill following criteria:-

(1) Persons having experience of translating of laws/Reports of the Central Government as Hindi Translator.

(2) He should have completed his graduation in Hindi medium or should have studied Hindi as a subject up to graduation.

(3) Desirable:

1. He should have degree in Law.

2. Retired Govt. Officer from senior post in Legal Department in Central Government/State Government.

3. Candidate has diploma in translation from English to Hindi or vice versa.

3. The Candidate applying for the above mentioned work may please enclose at least twenty pages of his translation work done in past to randomly check the quality of work of the translator for consideration of candidature by the panel in Law Commission of India.

4. Persons interested to apply may submit an application along with qualification, experience and copy of their work in the office of Under Secretary, Law Commission of India, Room No.14 (b), 14^th Floor, Hindustan Times House, K. G. Marg, New Delhi-110001 by 25^th May, 2015.
