NOTICES & DATES FOR THE DIARY Sunday 29th May The 5th Sunday Service of May will not be at St Michaels’ Ravenstone as advertised but will be at St Peters’ Bardon Hill. This will be a Holy Communion with Baptism Service. Apologies for any confusion. Archdeacon of Loughborough The Rt. Rev. David Newmann, Archdeacon of Loughborough, will be conducting a Visitation on Thursday 26th May at 7:30pm at St Davids Church Broomleys. This service is for the declaration for Church Wardens in this area. Richard Page will be making his declaration Church Warden for Christ Church at that service. Richard would appreciate your prayer support and/or your attendance at this service. Thank You. The Choir With No Name This wonderful choir will be performing another Roger Jones’ musical – Barnabas – on Thursday 2nd June at 7:30pm at Christ Church Coalville. All proceeds will be donated to The Samaras Aid Appeal. We hope to see you there for another great evening of music and song. Refreshments will be served. A Change in Services on the Rota Martin has to be at the Deanery Confirmation Service on May 15th. The Memorial Service due to be at Christ Church will now be on the 22nd May at 6:00pm. The service on the 15th will now bea Holy Communion as usual, led by Rev. Brenda Campbell. Tuesday Communion Service There will be no lunchtime Communion Service on Tuesday 10th May as Martin has a meeting in Leicester. Christ Church PCC Will all members of the Christ Church PCC please be aware that there is a meeting this Thursday at 7:30pm. Plant Sale & Coffee Morning St Michael’s are having a Plant Sale & Coffee Morning at St Michael’s Church on Saturday 21st May from 10:00am Everyone welcome, please join us if you can. The Mean Bean Challenge : 25th -29th April By the time you read this, Martin & Val will have successfully completed the challenge – about 300 of us did it nationally! Thank you for all those who have sponsored us and it is not too late if you wish to give Martin or Val a cash donation. Many Thanks Martin & Val Donation for Raffle We are holding a raffle at our Christ Church Summer Fayre event in aid of Ashby Street Pastors and would welcome any donations towards this event. Christ Church Charity Summer Fayre This year Christ Church’s Summer Fayre will be held on Saturday 11th June. The theme this year will coincide with Queen Elizabeth’s 90th Birthday Celebration Weekend. If you or anybody you know would like to have a stall in the gardens, then please get in touch with Dawn Cox on 01530 836631. Christ Church Prayer Group The Christ Church Prayer Group meet on a Monday, every other week, starting at 11:00am for an hour of prayer, followed by sharing lunch together. This is an open invitation to all, to meet together and talk to our Lord about anything on our minds and then share food and fellowship together.
