DESCRIPTION
Summer school „ The Economics, Management and Culture of Innovation in Latvia and in other EU countries ” is organized within European University Foundation – Campus Europae (abbreviation- EUF-CE) framework.

Main objective of EUF – CE is to strengthen and expedite European Higher Education Area development, by creating and implementing different forms of cooperation between universities in Europe and its neighbouring countries. One of the main cooperation principles in EUF – CE network is to use cultural differences of various universities and their home countries as previous value. Within EUF – CE framework student exchange in several fields of studies take place where one of the main pre-requisites is learning local language and culture.

Starting with year 2012 within EUF – CE framework was started new tradition in study field of economics and business – organization of summer schools as one more instrument in popularization of European languages, culture and economic and business traditions. In year 2012 summer school was held in Portugal, University of Aveiro, whereas in 2013 it was organized in Riga, University of Latvia. Taking into account success of summer school of year 2013, as well as the fact that in 2014 Riga is one of the European cultural capitals, EUF – CE partners decided to organize summer school of 2014 in Riga, University of Latvia, putting the main focus on understanding local culture and its impact on development of entrepreneurship, especially innovations in Latvia and Europe.
