INTRODUCTION
Today, one of the main requirements for higher professional skills is a perfect
knowledge of foreign languages. It is no coincidence that special attention is paid to the
study of English, which is one of the leading languages of international communication.
Teaching English in the education system of the Republic of Uzbekistan is rising to a
new level of quality on the basis of a scientific approach, the introduction of new
information and communication and pedagogical technologies that can fully meet the
requirements of the time.
“Another issue that will never lose its relevance and importance for us is the task
of educating our children as independent-minded, modern knowledge and professionals,
strong-willed, truly patriotic people,” said President Sh.M. Mirziyoyev [1, 68].
In the Victorian era, between 1800 and 1900, about 6,000 crime fiction titles have
been posted in English. This range does now not include quick memories published in
periodicals, some of which had been serializations. Arthur Conan Doyle’s relationship
with The Strand Magazine that posted his Sherlock Holmes testimonies is possibly the
best-known example of a mystery author who published first and many times in
periodicals. But the ebook of his Sherlock Holmes testimonies started out at the cease
of the 19th century in 1887, and persisted into the 20th, and now not in The Strand
Magazine, but in Beeton’s Christmas Annual. Conan Doyle’s journey represents solely
a small proportion of crime fiction that clearly seemed in periodicals. As Lucy Sussex
factors out, many different authors posted severa memories in magazines earlier than
and in addition to Conan Doyle. For example, Mary Fortune published over 500 stories
over 40 years between 1868 and 1908.
With over 60 years of crime narrative accessible thru the Newgate Calendar
newspaper reporting, novels, stories and plays, the English public had developed a
robust interest in analyzing about crime via the time Victoria took the throne in 1837.
The groundwork had been laid for the first flowering of the detective novel, along with
the tales of Arthur Conan Doyle and his detective, Sherlock Holmes.
