Christmas Tree Drop-off
For your convenience, the town has allocated the Herbert Swimming Pool’s front lawn (208 Dennis Street) as a drop off destination for natural Christmas trees until January 14th. We will see to their disposal.
Overdue Utility Accounts
If a utility payment has not been made within three months, your water will be disconnected & a $25.00 charge added to your utility billing. This service charge will cover the cost of having to disconnect & reconnect the water. Payment is mandatory.
Annual Pet Licenses
It’s time to renew your pet license/s; six months or older are eligible. Dogs spayed or neutered are $15.00, intact are $20.00. Cats spayed or neutered are $5.00, intact are $10.00. New tags are not re-issued for renewals unless it has been misplaced or damaged. A replacement tag is $2.00.
Annual Business Licenses
New or renewed licenses are good for one calendar year ending December 31 of this year. Anyone not having purchased their license by the end of February 2018 will be removed from the town website directory until a new license has been issued.
YEARLY RATES:
Local & Home-based Businesses $5.00
Herbert Area Transient Operators $10.00
(This applies to Main Centre & Gouldtown businesses only)
*Transient Operators outside of the immediate trading area & not maintaining a Herbert postal box number are charged a permit fee according to the fee schedule as outlined by Bylaw 85-3.
