• The first digital computer, and what most people think of as a computer, was called ENIAC. It was built during World War II (1943-1946) and was designed to help automate calculations that were being performed by human computers. By doing these calculations on a computer, they could achieve results much faster and with fewer errors.
• Early computers like ENIAC used vacuum tubes and were large (sometimes the size of a room) and found only in businesses, universities, or governments. Later, computers started using transistors and smaller and cheaper parts that made it possible for the common man to own a computer.

• Today, computers make things that used to be complicated much simpler. For example, you can write a letter in a word processor, edit it whenever you want, check its spelling, print copies and send it to someone around the world in seconds. All these activities used to last for days or even months. Also, these examples are just a small fraction of what computers can do.

• Nowadays, we can meet the word "IT" in many places, but what is this word itself?
• IT is an abbreviation of the words "Information Technology" taken from the English language, and in Uzbek it is called "Akhborot tekhnologiya". Even so, we pronounce and use the word as IT.
• The next question is, what does "Information Technology" mean?
• Information Technology is a computing technique that performs tasks such as creating, collecting, distributing, storing, processing, and protecting information. Currently, the function of computer technology is performed by the computer, so when the word IT is used, computer technology is mainly understood.
• When using the word IT, pay attention to one thing, never say "IT technologies", because if you write it completely correctly, it will be "Information Technology" technologies, or in Uzbek the entry appears as "Information Technology Technologies", which is probably a bit strange.
• We got acquainted with theoretical information, but what can we associate with this word in life?
• — During communication (social networks, messengers, e-mail, chat,...);
• — when receiving information (news, weather information,...);
• — in information processing (programs that perform mathematical operations, graphics, video, writing,...);
• — in the process of studying (e-books, interactive lessons, manuals, etc.);
• — at leisure (movies, music, games,...).
• So, our life is closely connected with this word. Regardless of what we do, even when we are having fun, we use IT services. Our ordinary mobile phone is also an IT device, because we store some data on it.
• Because our work process is related to computer technologies, every company has separate IT departments, even in companies that have nothing to do with computers at all. So, there is great interest and demand in this field.
