This results in increased costs for businesses due to time lost in transit, fuel wastage, and heightened operational expenses.From an environmental standpoint, traffic jams contribute substantially to air pollution and carbon emissions.

The stop-and-go nature of congested traffic leads to inefficient fuel consumption and exacerbates the environmental impact of vehicles.
