Answers:
1. Internet security is a term that describes security for activities and transactions made over the internet.
2. Make passwords complex and keep them secret. Use trusted sites. Be careful.
3. Personal information can be used for very bad purposes. Money can be stolen, personal information can be spread.
4. Money on cards can be lost.
5. The device may fail, personal data, money may be stolen.

Case 1. Unauthorised access to employee’s email account
In April 2020, the company published a notice on its website explaining that their security team had discovered unauthorised access to one of their employee's email accounts between 22nd to 24th January.
Although the company stated that they had found no clear signs of misuse, it did not rule out the exposure of customer personal information.
In September 2022, the company reached a $12 million settlement with the 232,772 patients affected.
The company needs to improve its security system. Otherwise, many people's personal information may be burdened.
Case 2. Hackers accessed computers with sensitive records of 4.5 million people
In July 2015, the university disclosed a bad actor had accessed parts of their network that contained the personal information of 4.5 million individuals. At that time it was the fourth-biggest healthcare data breach of all time. There were "indications" that led the company to believe that the attacker may have initiated the network access as early as September 2014.
The potentially exposed information included names, addresses, dates of birth, social security numbers, medical record numbers and some medical information such as medical condition, medications, procedures and test results.
In March 2019, the university reached a settlement related to this incident.
In July 2023, it was reported that the governing board of the university had filed a lawsuit against their insurer alleging breach of contract and seeking unspecified damages.
