Mizuho Bank Mexico Opens the León Office
Mizuho
Bank Mexico, S.A., a subsidiary of Mizuho Bank, Ltd. (President & CEO: Koji Fujiwara) and
a wholly owned subsidiary of the Mizuho Group, established and started the operation of an office in
León, Guanajuato, United Mexican States, on October 2, 2017. This is the second Mexico office for
Mizuho as it expands its network in the country.
León is the largest city in Guanajuato, one of the states located in the Central Plateau (Bajío) region.
Mexico has been attracting an increasing number of Japanese manufacturers in the recent years, more
than 70% of which are concentrated in the region. With a number of new factories starting operation,
the region is expected to continue attracting investment from Japanese companies in diverse sectors,
especially those in the automobile sector.
Mizuho Bank Mexico has been providing a broad range of financial services in the country since the
start of its business operation in March 2017. León Office provides Mizuho with
an additional foothold
as it enhances its network in the country. Mizuho is committed to providing enhanced support to
companies entering or expanding business in the country, staying close to the customers, and
contributing to the economic development of Mexico and Guanajuato.
