Which day John Davidson merchant Dundee husband of Helen McLagan daughter of he deceased Alexander McLagan Saddler in Dundee was admitted ad received a free Master of the said Hammerman Trade as a Blacksmith both he and his representatives and free Apprentices being Burgesses as use is. It being hereby declared that the said John Davidson and his foresaid shall not be a liberty by his present entry to do any work belonging to any of the other arts or branches of the said Hammerman Trade but are restricted to that sort of work which properly belong to or is ordinarily wrought by a Blacksmith allenarly. And the said John Davidson having given his oath of fidelity to the Trade in common form signs these presents along with the Deacon. It being hereby declared that the said James Miller and his foresaid shall not be a liberty by his present entry to do any work belonging to any of the other arts or branches of the said Hammerman Trade but are restricted to that sort of work which properly belong to or is ordinarily wrought by a Blacksmith allenarly. And the said James Miller having given his oath of fidelity to the Trade in common form signs these presents along with the Deacon. And of instructing that the said James Miller has been admitted a free man or Burgess of Dundee he will produce his Burgess Ticket under the hand of Christopher Kerr town Clerk bearing that the said James Miller had been admitted a Burgess and that an act or record written on a stamped paper denoting a duty of Three pounds on his doing which the Clerk is authorised to give an extract or Certificate of his admission.

It being hereby declared that the said John Lindsay and his foresaid shall not be a liberty by his present entry to do any work belonging to any of the other arts or branches of the said Hammerman Trade but are restricted to that sort of work which properly belong to or is ordinarily wrought by a Plumber allenarly. And the said John Lindsay having given his oath of fidelity to the Trade in common form signs these presents along with the Deacon. And of instructing that the said John Lindsay has been admitted a free man or Burgess of Dundee he produced his Burgess Ticket or a Certificate of his admission as a Burgess under the hand of Christopher Kerr Town Clerk bearing that an act or record of his admission written on a stamped paper denoting a duty of Three pounds Sterling.

It being hereby declared that the said Alexander Lawson and his foresaid shall not be a liberty by his present entry to do any work belonging to any of the other arts or branches of the said Hammerman Trade but are restricted to that sort of work which properly belong to or is ordinarily wrought by a Tinsmith allenarly. And the said Alexander Lawson having given his oath of fidelity to the Trade in common form, signs these presents along with the Deacon. It being hereby declared that the said James Moon and his foresaid shall not be a liberty by his present entry to do any work belonging to any of the other arts or branches of the said Hammerman Trade but are restricted to that sort of work which properly belong to or is ordinarily wrought by a Saddler allenarly.
