Less Fear of Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB)
This will be measured via the Derby Plan Survey. Confidence levels however will not be very
high for ward level information but figures will provide an indication of the feeling in
Arboretum. The results for this should be available shortly and will be included in the next
update of the profiles.
According to the Derby CSP 2008 Survey a considerably higher number of Arboretum
residents felt that ASB was an issue in their neighbourhood when compared to the city.

in 2011 was comparable to the
previous year but the figure remains considerably higher than the Derby average.

Higher volumes tend to be in the city centre and along London Road, Osmaston Road and
Burton Road, all routes into the city centre.

These are calls to the Police requesting assistance and one CFS does not necessarily equal one incident. ASB issues are
also reported directly to the Community Safety Team and raised at Neighbourhood Boards/Forums

crime statistics.
The number of BCS comparator crimes
56
increased slightly in 2011 when compared to the
previous year and the figure remains considerably higher than the Derby average.
