Goncha bayim (1827 - ?). Azerbaijani poetess. Daughter of Ehsan khan of Nakhichevan. 
Guliyeva Zahra Tahir gizi (1923-2008). Doctor of Medicine, ophthalmologist, professor, 
chairman of the State Committee for Women’s Problems (1998-2006). Honoured Scientist of the 
Republic of Azerbaijan, awarded with the order «Shohrat».
Gurbanova Hokuma Abbasali gizi (1913-1988). Azerbaijani actress. People`s Artist of the 
USSR.
Huseynova Hijran Kamran gizi (1955). The fi rst woman in Azerbaijan to receive the title of 
doctor in political sciences. Chair of the State Committee on the Problems of Family, Women and 
Children since 2006. 
Imanguliyeva Aida Nasrulla gizi (1939-1993). Literary critic, scholar, translator. Doctor of 
Philology professor. She was the Director of the Institute of the Peoples of the Near and Middle 
East of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. 
Ismayilova Tukezban Maharram gizi (1923-2008). Azerbaijani singer. People`s Artist of 
Azerbaijan. Awarded with the order «Shohrat».
Izzet Orudjova Mirzeaga gizi (1909-1983). Azerbaijani scientist. Academician. One of the fi rst

Mehrijan Khatun (13th century). Daughter of Sultan Toghrul. Wife of the last ruler of the stae 
of Atabeys Muzafaraddin Ozbek. Mehrijan Khatun did her best in the liberation of Tabriz, Khoy, 
Nakhichevan together with Shamsaddin of Tabriz in 1225.
