Participants will be able to:

Create greater understanding of the components of a Mental Status Exam for children 0-5.

Practice completion of a Mental Status Exam through the observation of videotaped client interactions.

Build participant’s skills related to observing and documenting a parent/child interaction session.
-
Build skills related to assessing social/emotional development through skilled observation.
-
Use advanced knowledge of developmental milestones to inform treatment planning.
-
Provide an introduction to the assessment of infants prenatally exposed to substances.
