oval formada (150x200 sm) dağıntını xatırlatsa da
tədqiqatların gedişi fərqli nəticə verdi. Burada biri
digərindən dayaz olmaqla iki quyu qeydə alındı.
Birinci quyunun ağzı oval formada olmaqla 2.2m
dərinlikdə, dairəvi ağızlı digər bir quyu ilə 5.6m
dərinliyə qədər davam edirdi. İlk baxışdan quyuların
biri digərini kəsdiyi ehtimal olunsa da məhz bir qu-
yunun iki mərhələli qazılması daha məqsədəuyğun
görünür. Qeyd olunan quyuların ölçüləri aşağıdakı
kimidir:
- Hər iki quyu yer səthində ovallıq əmələ gətirir
- 150x200sm
- Quyunun birinci mərhələsinin dərinliyi 220sm,
yuxarıdan diametri 110sm, dib diametri 85-90sm
- Quyunun ikinci mərhələsinin dərinliyi 340 sm,
ağzının diametri 116-118 sm, ortada diametri 105
sm, dibinin diametri 75 sm.
Digər quyulardan fərqli olaraq, bu quyunun di-
varlarında düşüb-qalxmaq üçün nəzərdə tutulan boş-
luqlara təsadüf olunmadı.
Buradan X əsr üçün səciyyəvi olan xeyli sayda
şirsiz və şirli saxsı məmulatları aşkar edildi (şək.2-
3).
Hər iki quyu həmdövr olduğundan aşkar edilən
tapıntılar da birlikdə qeydiyyata götürülmüşdür. Qu-
yudan aşkar edilən tapıntılar zənginliyinə görə ma-
raq doğurduğundan onların statistik göstəricilərini
xüsusi olaraq qeyd etmək lazımdır:
6 ədəd yastı kirəmit fraqmenti,1 ədəd Son An-
tik dövrə aid yastı kirəmit fraqmenti, 1 ədəd iri
təsərrüfat küpünün ağzı, 6 ədəd qazan fraqmenti, 8
ədəd qapaq fraqmenti, 1 ədəd zoomorf ağızlı bardaq
fraqmenti, 1 ədəd yaşıl şirli bardaq (fraqmentlərdən
bərpa edildi), 3 ədəd şirli duzqabı, 12 ədəd şirli kasa
(fraqmentlərdən bərpa edildi); xeyli sayda dəmir və
the research yielded different results. Two different
pits, one shallower than the other, were found there.
The surface of the first pit is oval and the depth of
it is 2.2 m. The second pit’s surface is round and the
depth of it is 5.6 m. At first sight, it was supposed
that one pit crosses the other. However, it is more
logical that the pits were dug in two stages. Both pits
are oval-planned and measure 150x200 cm on the
surface. The depth of the pit’s first stage is 220 cm;
the upper diametre is 110 cm; the bottom diametre is
85-90 cm. The depth of the pit’s second stage is 340
cm; the surface diametre is 116-118 cm; the middle
part diametre is 105 cm; the bottom diametre is 75
cm. Unlike in the other pits found, no cavities for
stepping up and down were detected in the walls of
these pits. Many glazed and simple pottery products
that are typical of the 10th century were found there
(Fig.2-3).
Both pits belong to the same period and thus the
finds were registered together. As the pits’ finds are
rich and interesting, it is important to note particu-
larly the statistical indices: six flat tile fragments;
one flat tile fragment belonging to the Late Ancient
Period; the rim of a big agricultural pitcher; six pan
fragments; eight lid fragments; a jug fragment with
a zoomorphic lip; a green-glazed jug (restored com-
bining the fragments); three glazed salt dishes; 12
glazed bowls (restored combining the fragments); a
lot of iron and copper fragments; a paste bead. Some
of the above-mentioned artifacts were restored and
inventoried.
The cleaning of pit No.2, which is located east
of pit No.1, at the bottom of the north profile, was
completed. Half of that pit also belongs to the un-
excavated area and, therefore, the excavation was
canceled in 2011. Pit No.2 starts at a depth of 78-80
cm from the surface and it ends at a depth of 224
cm from the surface. The pit’s surface is 85 cm in
diametre and the diametre of the bottom part is 65
cm. During removal of the partition, a burnt layer
was detected at the top of pit No.2 at a depth of 70
cm from the surface (Fig.4).

yandırılmışdır. 2 saylı quyu yer səthindən 78-80
sm dərinlikdə qeydə alınmış və 224 sm dərinlikdə
başa çatır. Quyunun ağzının diametri 85 sm, dibi-
nin diametri isə 65 sm-dir. Arakəsmə götürülərkən
2 saylı quyunun üst hissəsində (yer səthindən 70 sm
dərinlikdə) yanıq qat qeydə alındı (şək.4).
Qeyd olunan yanıq qat 7-ci kvadratda izlənilmiş,
üst təbəqəyə aid olan gil möhrə tikili döşəməsinin bir
hissəsidir.
Hələ 2011-ci ildə 1B kvadra-
tında təyinatı məlum olmayan və şərti olaraq adlan-
dırdığımız istehsalat qurğusu qeydə alınmışdır. Bu
qurğunun kənarlarında ikiqat əhəng məhlulu ilə örtül-
müş çökəklik və ön hissəsində çiy kərpiclərdən ibarət
döşəmə vardır. Qurğunun yarısı şimal profilində ya-
nıq ləkələri ilə izlənilirdi. Qurğunun şimal hissəsini
təyin etmək məqsədilə şimal profilinin qeyd olunan
yanıq qatına düşən 2 m-lik hissəsi də götürüldü.
Nəticədə, profildə izlənilən yanıq qatı 7-ci kvadrat-
da qeydə alınmış gil möhrə tikilinin şərq divarı altına
düşdü. Beləliklə, arakəsmə götürülməklə gil möhrə
tikilinin şərq divarının 1 m uzunluqda hissəsi də təyin
olundu. Qeyd olunan tikilinin şərq, qərb və qismən
də şimal divarı təyin olunduğu halda, onun cənub
hissəsini izləmək mümkün olmadı. Divarla yana-
(X-XI əsrlər).
2-ci və 4-cü kvadratların arakəsməsinin də
götürülməsi maraqlı nəticələr verdi (Bu arakəsmə
plana görə 4-cü kvadratın hissəsinə aiddir). Əsas
məqsəd qeyd olunan kvadratlarda izlənilən tikililərin
bir-biri ilə əlaqəsini müəyyənləşdirməkdən ibarətdir.
Tədqiqatlar zamanı 4-cü kvadratda yanaşı qoyul-
The above-mentioned burnt layer is part of a clay
fence floor (studied in square VII) belonging to the
upper layer. The top of the pit is covered with a burnt
layer and this implies that it was filled in at the same
period as the building which was detected in the up-
per layer and the pit’s top and building’s floor are at
the same level.
The rest of the clay fence’s east wall, which was
detected in the upper layer of square VII, was seen
after the partitions were removed. In 2011, an indus-
trial unit was found in square IB. The term “indus-
trial unit” is provisional as it is not known what it was
used for. Hollows covered with double limestone
mortar are located around the edges of the unit. The
front part is cobbled with raw bricks. Half of the unit,
in the north profile, has burn spots. In order to study
the north part of the unit, the above-mentioned 2 m
burnt layer was also removed. As a result, the burnt
layer which is seen in the profile dropped under the
eastern wall that was detected in square VII. There-
fore, on removal of the partitions, the eastern wall
(1 m in length) of the clay fence was studied. Whilst
the structure’s east, west and partially northern walls
were studied, the southern wall could not be exam-
ined. While the construction floor which remained
under the partitions was being studied, a glass object
bearing a Kufic inscription was found at a depth of
52 cm. This object is thought to be a coin or a unit of
measurement (Fig.5, 5a, 10th-11th centuries).
Removal of the partition between squares II and
IV produced interesting results (according to the plan,
this partition belongs to square IV). The aim was to
clarify the relationships between the structures in both
squares. The south edge of the hearth built of baked
bricks in square IV was studied during the research.
The rest of the wall (1 m in length, consisting of baked
brick fragments) running southwards at the east of the
hearth was also studied. The dimensions of the bricks
which were used in the construction of the south-
ern edge are as follows: 24x25x5cm, 24x25x5.5cm,
24.5x24.5x5cm, 25x25x6.5cm, 25x25.5x7cm. The
bricks were covered with a 5-8 cm-thick ash layer.
