related services, including the design and completion of the external connection.
Protecting Minority Investors:
Uzbekistan strengthened minority investor protections by increasing corporate transparency requirements.
Paying Taxes:
Uzbekistan made paying taxes easier and less costly by introducing an electronic system for filing and paying VAT, land tax, unified social payments, CIT,
infrastructure development tax, environmental tax, personal pension fund contributions and cumulative pension contributions. On the other hand, land tax rates were
increased.
