OF T H E PAPYRI. 
T h e papyrus closes with a vignette in which the deceased, 
accompanied by his wife, is seen standing in adoration at a 
table of offerings in the presence 
of the god Osiris, who 
is 
seated in a shrine. T h e god wears the 
crown, and in his 
right hand is the crook, and in the left the crook and whip, 
emblems 
of sovereignty and dominion. Behind Osiris stands 
who has upon her head the
